We are looking for a talented and football-obsessed Social Media Manager to join Sports Illustrated FC and lead the day-to-day execution, growth and performance of our social platforms. This role sits within the social team and focuses on turning social strategy into standout, platform-first execution. It’s an opportunity for a football-obsessed social manager to help drive growth, performance and cultural relevance across SI FC's social platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the social strategy, tone and priorities set by the Head of Social Content.
  • Help to manage a freelance social team responsible for daily posting, scheduling and coverage.
  • Own day-to-day publishing & community management across all Sports Illustrated FC social platforms.
  • Guide the creation of visual and written assets in collaboration with design and video teams.
  • Track, review and analyse performance metrics including engagement, reach, growth, and content performance and deliver regular performance reporting and insights to the Head of Social Content.
  • Monitor football, sports media and social trends in real time and stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm shifts and emerging tools.
  • Support planning and execution of commercial campaigns for branded content for SI FC.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media for a major brand, publisher or sports organisation.
  • Proven experience working across social, editorial, video and commercial teams to drive consistent and high-quality output.
  • Experience building new audiences on social platforms (with a focus on the US where possible) and a strong knowledge of major social platforms and best practices (Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook).
  • Deep understanding of football culture, global fandom and social-first storytelling.
  • Experience working with sales teams on branded/commercial social campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social publishing and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, native platform analytics) and turning data into actionable insights.
  • Comfort with working evenings and weekends (when football is on!).
