Role Overview: We are seeking a part-time HR Manager to play a crucial role in our clients' growth and people management. The role will primarily focus on recruitment but will also cover general HR responsibilities, ensuring our policies and practices align with UK employment laws and foster a positive working environment.

The ideal candidate will have HR experience in an SME environment, a strong understanding of UK employment law, and excellent communication skills. A CIPD qualification (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and specifications.
- Write and place job adverts on appropriate platforms.
- Manage applications, screen CVs, and conduct initial telephone interviews.
- Organise in-person interviews and coordinate schedules.
- Assist with job offer processes, reference checks, and contract preparation.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new employees, including organising start dates and inductions.
- HR Policies & Compliance:
- Maintain and update the employee handbook, contracts, and company policies to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Stay up to date with UK employment law and advise on HR-related risks.
- Ensure HR documentation and processes protect the company while supporting a fair and transparent work environment.
- People Management & Development:
- Support managers with employee relations, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary processes.
- Develop and implement retention strategies to support employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
- Assist in defining and implementing people strategies to ensure employees are engaged, motivated, and fairly rewarded.
- Help create initiatives that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience in an HR role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience in recruitment, from job advert creation to offer management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous.
