A growing residential architecture practice is seeking an experienced part time Architect.

Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will play a leading role in delivering thoughtfully designed residential projects from planning through to construction. The role is ideally suited to an architect who enjoys technical delivery, takes pride in producing high-quality work and is looking to make a meaningful contribution within a small, ambitious practice.

The practice is open to a wide range of flexible working arrangements, with hybrid working available. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Director at the practice's office at Harwell Innovation Park, Oxfordshire, at least one day each week, with the remainder of their time worked flexibly. Part time 15- 25 hours per week.

Ideal Person

The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Be ARB registered with at least 5 yearsâ residential experience working in practice.
  • Be proficient in our core design and drafting software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Be proficient in Mac OS.
  • Have strong technical and detailing skills with a passion for high-quality design.
  • Be confident managing projects through planning, technical design and construction.
  • Have a sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.
  • Be experienced in coordinating consultants, clients and contractors.
  • Be a clear and confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Enjoy working within a small practice where their contribution will have a genuine impact.
