The Role
As an Accounts Payable Apprentice at 8x8, you'll join a fast-moving Finance team and get hands-on experience from day one. You will learn how a global technology business manages its financial operations while working towards a recognised qualification and building real-world skills that set you up for a long-term finance career.
What You'll Do
- Process and match purchase invoices against purchase orders
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts, ensuring accurate records
- Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries in a timely manner
- Support payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, and international payments)
- Help with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers professionally
- Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks and process improvement projects
What We're Looking For
- You don't need prior finance experience—curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (including Maths and English), or equivalent
- Strong numerical and analytical thinking
- Organised, methodical, and dependable
- Good communicator — written and verbal
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Eager to study for an AAT qualification.
