This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial reporting experience, ideally two or more years post-qualification, who is ready to take on a broader coordination and leadership role. You will play a key role in overseeing the statutory reporting process across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local GAAP requirements, coordinating year-end financial statements and audits, and supporting continuous improvements to reporting and controls. This role will also involve helping bring legacy entities up to date, so we are seeking someone hands-on, organised, and proactive in driving efficiency.**Key Responsibilities*** Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements for several European entities, ensuring compliance with local GAAPs (e.g., French GAAP, German HGB).* Manage and support external auditors during year end audits, ensuring timely delivery of information and resolution of queries.* Oversee month-end close processes for selected entities, reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, and other key entries.* Review and ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations, investigating variances and maintaining integrity of ledgers.* Drive the clean-up and updating of accounting records for entities with legacy or catch-up requirements.* Collaborate with finance colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, improve processes, and support decision making.* Contribute to finance initiatives and projects, with a focus on strengthening statutory reporting and compliance frameworks.* Ensure adherence to internal controls, group accounting policies, and statutory deadlines across all assigned entities.**About You*** Qualified accountant with a strong background in financial reporting, ideally from a practice environment.* Experience preparing or auditing statutory accounts under European GAAPs.* Detail oriented and hands-on, with the ability to work independently while also coordinating across teams.* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions.* Confident in liaising with auditors, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.* Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment with evolving requirements.* Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is advantageous.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and functions.For a closer look into what life at 8×8 UK Ltd. is about check out our page. 8×8 believes diversity makes our company stronger which is why we are a proud equal opportunities employer and encourage all of our staff to bring their authentic selves to work.
