Retain and expand existing book of business and advise on the most appropriate insurance to meet clients’ needs.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Renew your own book of business each month (approx. 20+ clients), both client‑facing and telephone based.
- Accurately complete administrative tasks: issue documents, diary management, check proposal documents, renewals re‑broking, set up policy records, create client schedules, and handle insurer and client queries.
- Sell the benefits of renewal to clients.
- Achieve income targets while adhering to FCA compliance obligations and retention targets.
- Provide quotes for existing clients, generating new business such as excess layers and cross‑selling additional policies.
- Contact clients when their policy falls due for renewal, ensuring any cover or policy changes are actioned and completing a full market search to obtain the most competitive product.
- Administer renewal from initial review through market search, quotation, closing of sale, issuing of cover and follow‑up documentation requests.
- Negotiate insurance rates with clients and underwriters, trade with insurers to maximise income potential.
- Manage incoming enquiries, e.g. mid‑term adjustments; direct them to relevant departments if necessary.
- Deliver exceptional levels of customer service at all times.
General Administration
- Prioritise all client communication (phone, email, in person) to ensure high level of customer service.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with internal and external clients, including colleagues and insurers.
