Role Overview

Support existing cases and identify new opportunities within the Bath office, working closely with the handling team and regional claims team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and deliver against agreed renewal, retention and/or new business targets, contributing to overall budget objectives and KPIs.
  • Complete all required roles and tasks, adhering to procedures and policies.
  • Create a customer-led culture, ensuring sales and customer standards, discipline, activities and best practice are delivered.
  • Conduct client visits and presentations to insurers.
  • Obtain and submit best-in-market quotations for new business or renewals.
  • Manage debt – ensure all monies are collected, allocated appropriately and keep line manager informed of any problems.
  • Manage and prioritise diaries and tasks; keep them up to date.
  • Complete all necessary training, log completion and maintain the continuous professional development plan.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of broking large commercial insurance risks across various business lines and industry types.
  • Experience of commerce and industry with familiarity with market and economic trends.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business contacts and goodwill.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present reports.
  • Pro-active, self-motivated and strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a cooperative, supportive team player.
