We are seeking someone to join our Equity Global Risk and Scenarios (GRS) UI team as a Front-End React Developer in ESTAR to design and develop a highly interactive React application that presents real-time risk reports to the Equities Front Office. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a software engineering position at Director Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.
What you’ll do in the role:
- You will build reusable components and front-end libraries in React, optimised for maximum performance across a range of mobile devices and browsers.
- You will work with the latest web technologies and influence the web strategy for the team.
- You will be expected to promote best practices, in terms of development tools, technologies and testing.
- You will be involved in all aspects of SDLC, including analysis, development, testing and deployment.
- Lead the design and development of complex software systems and applications.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and direction.
- Architect solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project roadmap and technical strategy.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in software engineering and design patterns.
- Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Lead efforts to refactor and optimize existing codebase for efficiency and maintainability.
