Job Role: Contracts Manager Plumbing & Heating

Area: Kent

Salary: £60k – £70k

My client is looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team. You will be expected to manage the successful running & completion of multiple projects, developing/maintaining relationships with clients, and working collaboratively with other departments such as the commercial team.

This role covers Kent and London.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and ensure quality standards are met consistently.
• Compile, maintain, and issue project programmes.
• Assist with material take-offs, scheduling, and procurement.
• Analyze labor resource requirements, manage labor costs, and ensure they stay within budgets.
• Schedule engineer rates and assist with payment authorizations and invoicing.
• Prepare monthly payment applications and manage variations throughout projects.
• Ensure Risk Assessments & Method Statements are prepared and monitored.
• Adhere to company policies regarding H&S and environmental standards.
• Assist in preparing technical submissions and collate certification/literature for O&M manuals.
• Support post-completion issues such as defects and liaise with the After-Sales Department.
• Provide advice and support to site teams, especially Foremen and Supervisors.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third parties.
• Participate in internal cost review meetings and prepare work-in-progress reports for directors.
• Undertake other tasks as reasonably required by senior staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

• At least 5 years of management experience in a similar role.
• HNC/HND in Mechanical Services or equivalent.
• Practical skills/certifications in plumbing or related areas.
• CSCS, First Aid, and SMSTS certifications.
