Staff 86 | 86 Group are working with a well-established construction solutions business based in Leeds who work on large-scale projects across the UK. With a brilliant reputation, and a growing annual turnover, they are looking to welcome a new Design Manager to join their team.
- Basic Salary: In the region of £45k to £65k DOE
- Generous Car Allowance
- Location: The office is based in Leeds; however, you can be based anywhere in the UK.
- Travel Requirements: UK wide travel to sites as and when required, and occasional visits to Head Office in Leeds.

Brief overview of the role:
- Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion.
- Issue materials compliance documentation for approval.
- Understand, resolve, and relay calculation thermal and structural details to the site team.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop and execute design strategies that align with scope, budget, and compliance.
- Provide dimensioned sketches to the design team.
- Carry out detailed check measurement of design drawings on site.
- Manage the revision and approvals process of all drawings.
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager / Design Coordinator with experience in the facades sector (ideally 5 years+).
- Strong understanding of design principles and be able to give examples of your work.
- Excellent working knowledge of design software AutoCAD, MS Suite, and Revit is desirable.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- CSCS card holder and strong understanding of UK construction health & safety regulations.
