86 Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an exciting opportunity to join a professional chef team and assist in the preparation and presentation of a high-quality catering service for a large residential and day population, as well as staff and visitors.
This role offers the chance to work with exceptional fresh produce including premium beef, pork, lamb, artisan dairy products, and a variety of fresh vegetables, salads, and specialist ingredients sourced directly on site.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the team and help deliver high-quality, fresh produce menus across a busy and varied catering operation. You should be passionate about producing healthy, varied dishes using fresh ingredients, while demonstrating excellent presentation and customer service skills. This role would suit someone who wants to remain in hospitality while benefiting from a more regular shift pattern, reduced antisocial hours, and no split shifts. Working hours are 37 hours per week, generally between 7.00am – 7.00pm, 5 days over 7, with only occasional functions. There is also a two-week shutdown over Christmas and New Year, allowing valuable time with family and friends.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality hospitality service to customers, staff, and guests
- Manage your designated kitchen section and prepare it for service
- Cook and produce high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients and provided recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Ensure food is stored, labelled, and rotated correctly

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent catering qualification
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
