The new restaurant is located within the refurbished Grade II* listed Victorian Hydraulic Pumphouse Station at Stanley Dock, originally built as a pumphouse to support the operation of Liverpools historic dock system, the building formed part of the pioneering engineering and industrial infrastructure that helped make Stanley Dock one of the most important working docks in the city. Today, that heritage provides the backdrop for something entirely new. Located on the same historic Stanley Dock site and connected to the iconic Titanic Hotel Liverpool, 1848 is a brand-new Italian dining destination, bringing together authentic flavours, quality ingredients, great drinks and outstanding hospitality in a stunning setting. As Restaurant & Bar Manager, youll help shape the operation from pre-opening through to launch and beyond building a fantastic team, setting high standards and creating a dining experience that guests will want to return to. Youll be someone who genuinely loves hospitality someone who understands that great food is only part of the experience and that exceptional service, atmosphere and attention to detail are what bring guests back. Youll be a natural leader who enjoys being at the heart of the operation. Youll know how to motivate a team, create high standards and lead by example, particularly when service gets busy. Were looking for someone who: Has previous management experience within a quality restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality environment Leads from the front and enjoys being visible on the floor Has a natural ability to inspire, coach and develop a team Understands the importance of service, presentation and attention to detail Has experience across both restaurant and bar operations Takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences Is ambitious, energetic and excited by the challenge of a new opening About the role: As Restaurant & Bar Manager , youll play a key role in bringing 1848 to life. Youll be responsible for leading the restaurant and bar operation, working closely with the wider Titanic Hotel Liverpool team to ensure we deliver a consistent and memorable experience for every guest. From pre-opening recruitment and training through to opening night and beyond, youll help establish the standards, culture and personality of 1848. Your role will include: Leading the day-to-day restaurant and bar operation Recruiting, training, coaching and developing your team Setting and maintaining consistently high service standards Creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience Managing rotas, staffing levels and labour costs Driving food and beverage sales and commercial performance Working closely with the kitchen team to deliver seamless service Supporting the full pre-opening process, including recruitment, training and service preparation Most importantly, youll have the opportunity to help shape a brand-new restaurant from day one building your team, establishing the culture and setting the standards that will define the 1848 experience.
