A brand-new Italian restaurant and pizzeria is coming to Stanley Dock — and we're looking for an exceptional Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager to join the opening team and help bring it to life.
Originally a pumphouse built to support Liverpool's historic dock system, this unique building forms part of the city's rich industrial heritage. Today, that history provides the backdrop for something entirely new — a vibrant Italian dining destination at the heart of Stanley Dock.
Located on the historic Stanley Dock site and connected to the iconic Titanic Hotel Liverpool, 1848 will bring together authentic Italian flavours, quality ingredients, great drinks and outstanding hospitality in a truly stunning setting.

We're looking for someone who:
Has previous supervisory or junior management experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel or hospitality environment
Is confident leading a team during busy service
Enjoys being hands-on and visible on the floor
Has a genuine passion for great food, drinks and hospitality
Is confident communicating with both guests and colleagues
Can remain calm, organised and positive under pressure
Takes pride in service standards and attention to detail
Is a supportive and encouraging team player
Is keen to learn and develop their management skills
Is excited by the opportunity to be part of a brand-new open

About the role:
As Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager, you'll work alongside the Restaurant & Bar Manager to help ensure every service runs smoothly and our guests receive an exceptional experience.
You'll be a key member of the management team, taking responsibility for the restaurant and bar during designated shifts and providing hands-on support to the team.
This is a floor-focused role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of service, leading by example and helping colleagues deliver their best.
You'll be responsible for:
Supporting the Restaurant & Bar Manager with the day-to-day operation
Taking the lead on the floor during designated shifts
Supervising and supporting the restaurant and bar team during service
Briefing the team before service and ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities
Helping maintain high standards of service, presentation and hospitality
Welcoming guests and dealing confidently with questions, requests and any issues that arise
Supporting the training and development of team members
Assisting with opening and closing procedures
Monitoring service levels and communicating any issues to the Restaurant & Bar Manager
Supporting stock, cash and operational procedures
Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Deputising for the Restaurant & Bar Manager when required
