We’re looking for an experienced and customer-focused Collab / Workplace Engineer to join a fast-paced IT support environment supporting high-profile end users and business operations onsite in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned technical tasks within agreed timeframes
  • Support project delivery alongside internal and external project teams
  • Carry out operational and support activities to SLA targets
  • Deliver exceptional customer support and user experience
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues
  • Support desktop deployments, upgrades, and configurations

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11 preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and end-user support
  • SCCM experience including OS deployment, application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of scripting technologies such as PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting
  • Knowledge of BitLocker, NTFS permissions, and desktop security practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Exchange environments, and collaboration tools
  • Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
  • Applicants should have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years
  • Successful candidates will undergo standard pre-employment screening including DBS and employment checks
