The Role:
You would join the Product Strategy team as the Project & Requirements Manager with responsibility for defining our future product range content, to meet customer and market requirements. There will be high interaction with multiple disciplines across numerous business groups – working with Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Applications, Business Resources, Operations and others. This role is very people and process focused, and essential to ensuring we implement our product successfully.
Key Responsibilities & Experience:
- Project Management skills required – 5 years plus in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.
- Stakeholder management skills are more important than the technical knowledge of the product range in this role.
- The ability to translate complex requirements and define solutions and routes to market.
- High levels of prioritisation, organisation and planning skills.
- Capability to influence and work through others to deliver an offering.
- Experience in strategic product development projects or new product introduction (NPI).
- Project Manage new market introductions and the conversion of voice of customer (VOC’s) feasible solutions.
- Working with Sales and Marketing (SMSP) to understand customer and market requirements and creating/managing Product Objectives for new and existing models.
- Working with commercial teams and customers facing teams on additions to the range.
- Defining future programs for the product range and developing business cases for new products.
- Working with engineering teams to ensure the availability of technical information for product launches.
- Coordinate customer facility visits.
- Microsoft 365 package skills are essential. Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Desirable experience/skills:
- Experience with large engines is extremely advantageous.
- Product (NPI) and Project Management.
- Managing the product requirements for the 4000 & 5000 Series engine range worldwide.
