Overview
We are currently seeking a Facility NPI Procurement Professional to support new product introduction (NPI) activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring a seamless, efficient, and resilient supply chain, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a lean, responsive, and reliable flow of materials and services for NPI programmes, from source through to point of use
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimisation, and quality improvement
- Contribute to business case development and risk assessment, collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement solutions
- Monitor and manage procurement activities to meet targets relating to cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal partners to resolve facility-specific issues
- Ensure procurement processes support efficient and effective facility operations
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify key insights
- Ability to define problems, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions
- Understanding of Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) and material scheduling processes
- Experience in supplier management, including resolving routine issues and ensuring delivery and quality standards are met
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and the ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Desirable Skills
- Experience with SAP and/or MACH1 systems
