We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join a specialist engineering and R&D environment supporting emissions measurement and laboratory systems. This is a varied role combining technical maintenance, equipment calibration, stock and inventory management, supplier coordination, and compliance of compressed gas systems.
You'll work closely with engineers to support the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of advanced measurement equipment, helping ensure smooth, safe, and compliant operation of critical test systems.
Key responsibilities:- Managing compressed gas systems (ordering, records, certification, supplier liaison)
- Supporting calibration, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics of lab equipment
- Assisting with equipment installation and technical investigations
- Stock and inventory control within a regulated environment
- Ensuring compliance, safety, and documentation standards are maintained
- Experience in maintenance, engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of stock/inventory or regulated materials handling
- Exposure to technical equipment, calibration, or compliance processes
- Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification (essential)
- Detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on role
