We’re working with an ambitious next-generation Telco start-up delivering advanced connectivity solutions across Private 5G, Open RAN, Enterprise Wireless, FWA and intelligent network automation. As they scale, they’re looking for an experienced Orchestration Architect to define and lead the architecture of their telecom automation platforms.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of a fast-moving, innovative business — where your architectural decisions will directly shape how next-generation networks are deployed, managed and optimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end architecture for telecom orchestration and automation platforms
  • Design integration architecture across 4G/5G Core, LTE/5G RAN, Open RAN, IP Transport, Edge Computing and Enterprise applications
  • Design orchestration workflows covering network deployment, service provisioning, configuration management, fault management, performance optimisation and closed-loop automation
  • Define interfaces between network controllers, RAN intelligent platforms, core network functions, AI/ML engines and operational platforms
  • Lead architecture for network intelligence, service assurance, AI-driven optimisation and zero-touch automation
  • Support intent-based networking and autonomous network capabilities
  • Review technical designs to ensure scalability, security and performance
  • Engage with telecom operators, industrial customers and technology partners on technical discussions, workshops, proposals and PoC demonstrations
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in Telecom Architecture, Network Engineering or Solution Architecture
  • Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G SA, Private 5G, Open RAN, network slicing, Edge Computing, SDN/NFV and telecom automation
  • Hands-on experience with telecom orchestration platforms, ETSI MANO, ONAP (or equivalent), network controllers, REST APIs, cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Understanding of Near-RT RIC / Non-RT RIC, network automation frameworks and AI/ML-driven network optimisation
  • Experience in multi-vendor environments including Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Huawei and Open RAN platforms
  • Strong ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to both technical and business audiences
  • Must have the right to work in the UK — sponsorship is not available
