Director of Sales Engineering
We’re working with a high-growth backup storage vendor that’s disrupting the enterprise data protection space. With an innovative tiered backup solution and a rapidly expanding global footprint, they are now looking to hire a Director of Sales Engineering to lead their EMEA pre-sales function.
The Opportunity:
This is a key leadership hire tasked with building, mentoring, and scaling a team of 10–12 pre-sales engineers across EMEA. The role will focus on driving revenue growth, supporting complex enterprise sales, and deepening relationships with key channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a high-performing SE team across EMEA.
- Act as a strategic technical lead in competitive sales opportunities.
- Ensure technical excellence throughout the sales cycle: demos, sizing, architecture, and partner enablement.
- Build and deliver ongoing training programs and technical infrastructure.
- Support channel expansion through weekly partner enablement sessions.
Requirements:
- A proven career in pre-sales roles within backup, storage, or data center technologies (backup experience essential).
- Experience working in a national/regional SE leadership position.
- Strong channel and partner enablement background.
- Experience operating in a growth-stage, single-product vendor environment.
- Comfortable selling against established enterprise players in competitive and complex deals .
