This is a handsâon leadership role where you will own the technical direction of a serverless, eventâdriven, globally distributed platform built on AWS. You will lead a distributed engineering team, shape highâperformance APIs, and build systems that scale hard and run clean.

The Role
- Architect and optimise a highâscale, cloudânative PaaS.
- Champion CI/CD, automation, observability, and reliability.
- Design and maintain secure, performant public APIs.
- Build realâtime, distributed systems on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, ECS/EKS).
- Mentor a crossâfunctional team and elevate engineering standards.
- Prototype and ship features that drive commercial impact â including mobile apps and PWAs.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years in software engineering, with experience in a DevOps or Technical Lead role.
- Needs to have built a frontâend app and a console or dashboard backend.
- Deep expertise in serverless/eventâdriven architecture on AWS.
- Mastery of CI/CD, Agile delivery, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong leadership of distributed engineering teams.
- Experience in social media, advertising, eCommerce, or news.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Go, Python, Java, and modern frontâend frameworks.
