We are seeking a Principal Data Analyst with deep leadership experience across analytics and business intelligence to lead analytical delivery at scale and shape the organisation’s analytics strategy.

This role combines strategic ownership, technical credibility, and commercial leadership . You will oversee analytics delivery across multiple complex client programmes, act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, and play a key role in driving growth through client engagement and business development.

The successful candidate will balance hands-on analytical expertise with senior leadership responsibility, helping to build a world-class analytics capability while ensuring consistently high standards of delivery and value creation.

Core Responsibilities

Delivery & Strategy

  • Lead and oversee analytics delivery across multiple, high-value client engagements simultaneously.
  • Define and execute an analytics strategy aligned to organisational objectives and market opportunities.
  • Set standards, methodologies, and best practices for analytics and business intelligence delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on data-driven decision making.
  • Drive commercial growth through client engagement, proposal leadership, and capability demonstrations.
  • Contribute to pipeline development, account growth, and the evolution of analytics offerings.

Capability & Team Leadership

  • Lead the recruitment, development, and performance management of analytics professionals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Shape the future direction of the analytics function, including AI-enabled BI, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

  • Represent the organisation at industry events and contribute to external thought leadership in analytics and data visualisation.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies, translating them into practical, differentiated client solutions.

  • Deep expertise in business intelligence and analytics platforms, particularly within the Microsoft data ecosystem.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise at C-suite and executive level .
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on delivery experience and strong technical credibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing analytics teams.
