Validation Engineer – 12mth Contract\\n\\nLocation: Peterborough, UK\\n\\nIndustry: Technology / Engineering\\n\\nEmployment Type: Full-Time Onsite – CONTRACT – 12 month – INSIDE 35\\n\\nHourly Rate: £20-22 p/hr (37hrs per week)\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\nAs a Validation Engineer, you will report to the Validation Engineering Manager. You will have responsibility for conducting testing on validation test beds to sign-off components and working on our 1.7l to 7.1l range of diesel engines. You will be accountable for process excellence, maintaining engineering best practices and documentation.\\n\\nYou will work closely with the engineering teams to define & deliver robust methods in achieving the Product Objectives and Technical Objectives (PO's/TO's) within the Diesel Engines product range.

You will also work closely with the Test operations team to ensure quality data is achieved.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n· Create detailed test planning, execution of testing activities, analysis of results, and documentation with clear recommendations for the relevant process partners.\\n\\n· Carry out complex engine validation tests\\n\\n· Evaluate products and processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas\\n\\n· Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies\\n\\n· Communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders\\n\\n· Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, dealers, customers, and suppliers; develop and maintain keen understanding of internal and external customers' need\\n\\nWhat We're Looking For:\\n\\n· Minimum 3 years' experience.\\n\\n· Experience in validation of engines and engine systems\\n\\n· Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment and test data logging systems.\\n\\n· Hands on engine testing and problem-solving experience.\\n\\n· Experience in validation of engines and engine systems\\n\\n· Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment and test data logging systems.\\n\\n· Hands on engine testing and problem-solving experience.\\n\\nDesirable experience/skills:\\n\\n· Previous leadership experience (direct or in-direct)\\n\\n· Project Management methods and processes\\n\\n· CREO experience is desirable but can be taught.\\n\\n· PowerBI (dashboards) experience would be advantageous.\\n\\nBe part of a team that's shaping the future of power solutions.\\n\\nApply now to join a world-class engineering team
