Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician - ERDC£29.94 per hour | 5 days on-site | 12 months | Inside IR35
We're looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading Engine Research & Development Centre, working within a state-of-the-art engine test facility.
This is a great opportunity to work on advanced testbed and facility equipment, supporting engine development in a highly technical engineering environment.
What you'll be doing
- Reactive, planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
- Fault finding, repairs and installation of facility equipment
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings
- Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects
- Root cause analysis and technical problem solving
- Working alongside engineers, technicians and external contractors
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and colleagues
What we're looking for
- Engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
- Confident fault-finding and diagnostics skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems or pipe fitting would be highly desirable
- Experience with Laser alignment of rotating equipment is a bonus
The opportunity
