We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on engine testing to support our test operations. This role is instrumental in managing ongoing test activities and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hot engine testing - preferably with diesel or heavy-duty engines - and thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage test schedules and activities across four large engine test cells for 4 and 5000 series products.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support for engine testing, ensuring test plans are executed efficiently and safely.
- Assist in the planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) test programs.
- Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and modifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to engine test equipment and test processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the test cell area to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or test environment, preferably involving engine testing.
- Familiarity with hot test procedures and the handling of running engines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems within engine platforms.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
