We are currently recruiting for a talented and motivated individual to join a global leader in engine design and manufacturing. About the Role: Join a cutting-edge engineering team focused on the design and development of diesel and gas engines ranging from 400kW to 16MW. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality components and systems that power industrial, electric power, marine, rail, and other heavy-duty applications worldwide. As a Design Engineer, you will lead technical projects, collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams, and contribute directly to product development from concept through to production. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, analysis, and simulation of engine components and systems. Research and evaluate new materials and competitor products. Support prototype build, testing, and validation activities. Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to support supplier development and performance. Drive DFMEA and DVP&R processes. Release high-quality engineering designs into systems defect-free. Represent engineering in cost-down initiatives and support cross-functional project teams. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports.Key Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex problems and identify optimal solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly across functions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain productivity across concurrent projects. Hands-on knowledge of 3D modelling and simulation tools (experience with Creo preferred). A \”design for X\” mindset with a focus on quality, cost, durability, and serviceability.Highly Desirable: Experience in diesel or spark-ignited engine design. Proven track record in product development.
