What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling and upgrading instrumentation panels to required standards.
- Calibrating, maintaining, and fault-finding precision instrumentation systems.
- Providing first-line breakdown support for test facilities and associated equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance and calibration activities.
- Supporting upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of test equipment and facilities.
- Diagnosing electronic system faults using specialist test equipment.
- Reading and interpreting electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and calibration records.
- Working closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors on a variety of technical projects.
What We're Looking For
- Essential: Technical apprenticeship (electrical/electronic discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience building or wiring instrumentation panels.
- Calibration, fault-finding, and maintenance of precision instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Experience working to health and safety standards and procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Desirable: HNC or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Multi-skilled across electrical and electronic disciplines.
- Experience within a test facility or test cell environment.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques.
- Understanding of wiring regulations and standards (18th Edition advantageous).
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
