As a growing start-up spun out of the University of Oxford in 2019, we are passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (PM) to join our team and help us drive innovation in hardware, firmware, and software development. You will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing start-up environment with a friendly, supportive, and ambitious team. We value creativity, independent thinking, reliability, proactivity, and a strong "get-things-done" attitude. We are seeking someone who learns quickly, takes ownership, understands hardware product development, and can successfully juggle multiple priorities. This role offers the chance to make a direct impact in a highly innovative field.

What you will do:

  • Project leadership: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for hardware (electronics, photonics, optoelectronics, chips), firmware, and software deliveries - from early-stage research through to delivery and validation.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other teams to plan, coordinate, and execute project milestones, ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives.
  • Supplier & vendor management: Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality manufacturing processes, maintain supply chain reliability, and meet operational excellence standards.
  • Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets, timelines, and scope, ensuring projects are completed on time and within specifications.
  • Communication: Serve as the key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Translate complex technical concepts clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovation, product roadmap & strategy: Collaborate with leadership to define project and product roadmaps, contributing to strategic planning and the development of next-generation technologies.
  • Continuous improvement: Drive the evolution of project management processes by introducing best practices to optimize efficiency, quality, and team performance.
