The role: build the data products that turn a system of record into a system of insight. The platform is where UK healthcare professionals find approved, trustworthy medicines information. As more professionals identify themselves and engage regularly, it generates a unique signal: how verified professionals engage with medicines information at the point of clinical need. You will turn that signal into a suite of analytics and insight products that pharmaceutical companies will pay for, such as engagement intelligence, data analytics and a pharma API. Data is a small part of our business today, and it is central to our growth plans. You will be the single owner of the data product line and accountable for its outcome. You will have dedicated engineers and partner with our data science team, and you will direct shared design, research and product marketing capabilities.

What you'll own in your first 12 to 18 months:

  • Define and launch the first data and insight products, from discovery with pharma customers to paying, renewing clients.
  • Shape the pharma API as a product: packaging, access, pricing and developer experience.
  • Design privacy and governance in from the start.
  • Turn identified-professional engagement into insight that is aggregated, compliant and trusted by professionals and pharma alike.
  • Build the data product roadmap and go-to-market with product marketing and key account management: proposition, pricing, packaging and sales enablement.
  • Partner with data science and engineering on data models, aggregation, quality and the use of AI to generate insight.
  • Commit to outcomes. Set and hit targets for adoption, renewal and data revenue, and report progress plainly every week.

How we work:

  • The thing is the thing. We judge progress by what is live with users and what it is doing, and we debate the work on its evidence.
  • Strong positions, loosely held. You bring a clear point of view and change it quickly when the evidence does.
  • Start from the customer. Every significant initiative begins with a real customer, a real job to be done and a measurable outcome.
  • Thin slices, real discipline. We ship small and often, commit to dates once the work is understood, and get the project management basics right.
  • Own the outcome. You are measured on what changes for customers and for the business.

What you'll bring:

We hire for four traits: curiosity, storytelling, inclination to action and commercial mindset. For this role, you will also bring:

  • Essential: Senior product management experience building and commercialising B2B data, analytics or insight products, such as dashboards, benchmarks, data feeds or APIs that customers pay for.
  • Experience with data monetisation: packaging, pricing, entitlements and licensing terms.
  • Deep data fluency: data models, data quality, aggregation and anonymisation, with the credibility to shape solutions alongside data scientists and engineers.
  • Experience designing privacy and data governance in from the start under UK GDPR.
  • Experience managing an API as a product.
  • The ability to explain insight in the buyer's language and to sell its value to senior commercial and medical audiences.
  • Rigour in delivery: scope, dependencies, risks and committed dates, with launches that are ready to sell and support.

Valuable: Experience with pharma commercial, medical or omnichannel analytics. Experience with healthcare data or professional engagement data. Experience using AI or machine learning to generate customer-facing insight. Pharma experience is an advantage. We value evidence that you have learned a complex domain quickly.
