The Opportunity
As an AWS Data Solution Architect, you will take ownership of end‑to‑end solution design, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and governed cloud data platforms. You'll lead architecture decisions, shape delivery roadmaps, and provide technical leadership across large‑scale transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect modern AWS data platforms supporting analytics, AI/ML and GenAI initiatives.
- Build scalable data integration and ingestion frameworks using AWS Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge and DMS.
- Design secure lakehouse and data warehouse solutions leveraging Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Redshift and Athena.
- Enable AI and machine learning capabilities through governed, feature‑ready datasets and integration with AWS AI services.
- Lead platform governance, metadata management, lineage and data quality initiatives.
- Define AWS multi‑account operating models, landing zones, security guardrails and environment strategies.
- Drive platform performance, scalability, resilience and cost optimisation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Lead cloud migration and modernisation programmes from legacy data estates to modern AWS architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, data scientists and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
