We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a 3-month contract at £400-£450/day. You will support cloud security operations, contribute to engineering projects, and play an active role in global incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate SOC tickets, including SIEM analysis and liaising with users as needed.
- Complete a full knowledge handover with the departing engineer and ensure all tickets are fully documented.
- Support cloud security engineering projects, including:
- Building Sys Collector boxes with Terraform/Ansible in AWS.
- Participating in wider IaC initiatives with DevOps.
- Delivering a Cloudflare POC.
- Onboard and ingest new log sources into the SOC:
- AWS services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Security Lake, VPC logs)
- On-prem systems (firewalls, load balancers, IDP)
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud security operations (AWS preferred).
- Strong SIEM investigation and SOC workflow knowledge.
- Hands-on skills with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS security tooling.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with global stakeholders.
