We're looking for a hands-on Salesforce Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build and deliver intelligent, AI-powered solutions for major enterprise organisations. This is an engineering role, not a Salesforce configuration position. You'll work across Salesforce development, Agentforce, generative AI and enterprise integration to turn complex business challenges into production-ready solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Design and build AI-powered agents and experiences using Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein AI and related technologies.
  • Develop and customise solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, Flow and APIs.
  • Create, customise and optimise prompt templates using Salesforce Prompt Builder.
  • Connect AI agents to enterprise data and business processes through Salesforce Data Cloud and wider integration platforms.
  • Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Platform Events and event-driven architecture.
  • Apply prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding and techniques to reduce AI hallucinations.
  • Test and evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, quality, cost and performance.
  • Work directly with client teams to understand challenges, shape technical approaches and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Contribute to engineering standards, code quality, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, LWC, JavaScript and Flow.
  • Experience with Salesforce clouds such as Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
  • Practical experience with Agentforce, Einstein AI, Prompt Builder or other Salesforce AI capabilities.
  • Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, grounding and AI evaluation.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud and enterprise data integration.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integration patterns and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, code quality and version control.
  • Confidence explaining technical decisions, solving complex problems and working directly with clients.
  • Ability to take ownership of solutions from design through to deployment.
  • Ability to lead and support the development of junior engineers through constructive code reviews, hands-on coaching and sharing engineering best practices.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), vector search or embeddings.
  • Python or other programming experience beyond the Salesforce platform.
  • Salesforce certifications across development, architecture or AI.

Why join?

  • Work on innovative AI and Salesforce programmes for major global organisations.
  • Build real-world enterprise AI solutions using emerging technologies.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers, architects and digital transformation specialists.
  • Develop your skills through challenging projects and ongoing learning.
  • Enjoy a flexible hybrid working environment and a competitive benefits package.

This role requires Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must meet the relevant UK Government eligibility criteria, including five years of continuous UK residency.
