We're recruiting for an Electronics & Instrumentation Technician to join a leading engineering and R&D facility in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role supporting advanced test and development programmes, offering exposure to calibration, fault-finding, preventative maintenance, instrumentation, and facility upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibration and maintenance of precision instrumentation
- Fault finding and breakdown support
- Building and upgrading instrumentation panels
- Preventative maintenance of test equipment and facilities
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics
- Supporting equipment upgrades and commissioning activities
What We're Looking For
- Electrical/Electronic apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with calibration, instrumentation, and fault finding
- Ability to read electrical/electronic drawings and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
Desirable
- HNC in an Engineering discipline
- Test facility or test cell experience
- 18th Edition knowledge
- Root Cause Analysis experience
