We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Junior Business Development Representative (Inbound Response) to join our UKI Sales Development team. This entry‑level role is designed for individuals looking to begin a career in technology sales. The Junior BDR will be responsible for managing and qualifying inbound leads, engaging prospective customers, and identifying opportunities for the sales team. Rather than outbound prospecting, this role focuses on responding to inbound enquiries, marketing‑generated leads, event follow‑up activities, and customer interest generated through Genesys campaigns. It provides a strong foundation for a career in Sales Development with progression opportunities into BDR, Senior BDR, and Account Executive positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries from prospective customers across the UKI region.
  • Qualify inbound leads to determine business fit, buying interest, and opportunity potential.
  • Engage with prospects via phone, email, and digital channels to understand their business needs.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and hand over qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, webinars, events, and digital programs.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and activity records within Salesforce.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to ensure a seamless lead management process.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of Genesys solutions and customer use cases.
  • Meet and exceed KPIs related to lead response times, meetings booked, and opportunity creation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional experience in sales, customer service, business development, retail, hospitality, or a customer‑facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within a sales environment.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers over phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is advantageous but not required.
  • Degree‑educated or equivalent professional experience preferred.
