About the Role

The Associate Solutions Owner works closely with the Editorial Management Solutions team and manuscript management subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and deliver business and system requirements across products, features, and services. This role ensures customer and business workflow needs are fully captured, supports technical implementation and rollout, and plays a key part in ensuring solutions are scalable, effective, and aligned to business goals.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Contribute to the development and documentation of business and system requirements for products, features, and services
  • Support prioritisation of the product roadmap by aligning business needs with feature development
  • Partner with the wider Solutions team to support implementation of workflow and process solutions
  • Act as a key point of contact through implementation, testing, and rollout to end users
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined with appropriate acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to business case evaluation and articulation
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign off on delivered solutions
  • Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues and users to drive successful adoption of new workflows and processes
  • Build strong working relationships across Research Publishing to understand needs and support delivery of key initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in product development, business analysis, or a related role
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, detailed requirements
  • Experience working in agile, cross‑functional environments
  • Strong data analysis skills and understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ideally with tools like LogRocket
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, or JPD would be beneficial
  • Proven ability to lead or contribute to project work across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and make decisions within defined parameters
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams to achieve shared goals
