Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum plus bonuses. Company car or car allowance provided.

About the Role

As a Technical Manager you will collaborate closely with the existing team to provide technical expertise and drive the design and engineering activities across the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering activities
• Validate calculations, drawings and documentation
• Approve design work for accuracy and compliance
• Manage procurement of materials and technical services
• Produce and review supplier specifications
• Act as main technical contact for customers and suppliers
• Run progress meetings and maintain clear reporting
• Mentor and support engineers and technical staff
• Track KPIs, performance and resource allocation
• Support production, site work and commissioning
• Troubleshoot technical issues during build and aftercare
• Ensure quality, safety and environmental compliance
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation

About You

If you’re a self‑motivated mechanical engineer with a degree, commercial acumen and experience in equipment manufacturing, we want you! Key attributes include:

• Proven experience in equipment manufacturing or engineering design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a competitive and evolving engineering environment
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
