Assistant Engineer

The Role
As an Assistant Engineer, you\’ll be teamed up with a skilled Senior Engineer who will guide you through hands-on training in a variety of technical installations. This is a perfect role for someone looking to gain long-term experience, build new skills, and take the first step toward a full engineering career.
You\’ll work across national sites, occasionally requiring overnight stays, so flexibility and a great attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Engineer with system installations across client sites
- Learn how to perform engineering tasks independently over time
- Use IT knowledge to assist in troubleshooting and system setup
- Work safely, following all health & safety protocols
- Accurately complete all required documentation
- Travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays

The Ideal Candidate
About
You\’re proactive, enthusiastic, and have a strong interest in technical work. You may have some IT experience or hands-on skills, and you\’re ready to get stuck in and learn from the best. About you:
- Basic IT knowledge (hardware/software understanding)
- Good practical skills and experience with basic hand tools
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 1 year)
- Comfortable with working at heights (full training provided)
- Health & Safety awareness (training provided)
