The Role
As their new Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT), you will play a vital role in their pharmacy operations, ensuring patients receive precisely the right medication, in the right dose, every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions in line with ACT SOPs
- Assist in stock management including ordering, receiving, and logging deliveries
- Ensure compliance with GPhC guidelines and pharmacy law
- Report discrepancies to the pharmacist and uphold patient safety
- Provide advice and support to customers when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensed items and controlled drugs
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and support staff
- Participate in training to maintain and enhance ACT competency
- Support day-to-day pharmacy duties, including cleanliness and dispensing

- Registration as a qualified ACT with the GPhC
