We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can create industry-leading YouTube thumbnails and podcast assets. This task is designed to assess your creative thinking, attention to detail, and ability to design for click-through rate, not just aesthetics.

We’re a leading podcast agency growing rapidly and working with big brands and creators. You’ll be packaging shows that are seen by hundreds of thousands - and often millions - of people.

The Task:

  • Using the stills provided, create two YouTube thumbnails for the same podcast episode.

Key requirements:

  • The two thumbnails must be completely different styles from each other.
  • Both should clearly align with the existing brand, while introducing a fresh, evolved look.
  • They should feel modern, premium, and highly intentional.
  • One designed specifically to stand out in a YouTube feed and drive click-through rate.
  • The other is a chance to show us your design skills, be creative and impress us with what you can create.

Your thumbnails should:

  • Feel industry-leading in quality.
  • Instantly grab attention at small sizes.
  • Use hierarchy, contrast, composition, and typography intentionally.
  • Feel confident, premium, and editorial, not templated.
  • Show clear understanding of YouTube thumbnail psychology.

We’re less interested in following trends blindly, and more interested in taste, clarity, and originality within the brand.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary - dependant on experience and impact.
  • 25 days holiday + UK bank holidays.
  • Remote-first & flexible working.
  • Quarterly in-person team meetups.
  • Full time role, open to both employee or contractor applicants.
  • High ownership, high trust, and real progression for strong performers.
  • Opportunity to work on shows with real reach and influence.

About Us:

  • 7xContent is a fast-growing podcast production & growth agency.
  • We’re creators at heart.
  • We’re experts at engineering podcast growth.
  • We work with ambitious clients and are highly selective.
  • We value quality, ownership, and momentum.
  • We’re a team of ~15 people who do things differently.
  • Our goal: great work, great people, great times.

How to Apply (Required):

  • To apply, email with:
  • 2x YouTube thumbnails (16:9, YouTube-ready) exported as high-quality JPG or PNG.
  • A short Loom video explaining the thinking behind each concept and how it’s designed to perform on YouTube.
  • Your working location and salary expectations.
  • Include a 🍍 (pineapple emoji) in your subject line to show attention to detail.
