About the Role | Who are we looking for?
Due to our increasing success and growth and our commitment to ongoing product development we have created a new position for a Scrum Master within the development team. This person will report to the Head of Software.
The role requires someone with an in-depth background of agile project management methodologies with a focus on internal engineering development projects within a dynamic organisation. The role will involve working with the leadership of the product development and software development teams to ensure that all development projects are cadenced against agreed milestones and roadmap plans. The individual will be naturally disciplined and rigorous in their approach to planning, but also be able to adapt to changing demands. Coordination of information, planning and communication skills along with a proactive attitude are key success factors for this role.
>> Manage internal development projects with oversight throughout multiple product lines to ensure success as defined by the business leaders.
>> Assist in the creation of, and maintenance of, comprehensive development backlogs and forward plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate with directors, managers and team leaders during all project phases, from initial development through final implementation.
>> Work closely with team leaders to help as the agile coach across the various development teams helping the company develop products in an agile fashion.
>> Monitor product development progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as Sprints, milestones and deliverables.
>> Communicate proactively with all relevant team members to provide encouragement, identify any problems, create solutions, and implement improvements.
>> Work closely with product owners and team leaders to help define work for the development teams.
Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience | The ‘Must-Haves’
>> Certified Scum Master, or professional Project Management qualifications.
>> Leadership experience and strong team player abilities.
>> Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
>> Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative.
>> Previous experience of being a scrum master and the various aspects of the agile development process.
>> Great attention to detail and strives to achieve perfect results through well thought out actions and a structured approach to working.
>> Proficiency with commonly used technology tools such as Jira.
>> Valid Passport & Driving Licence.
Additional Useful Skills | The ‘Helpful to Haves’
>> Technical experience in software development or mechanical design.
>> Experience working within a media server or media creation organisation.
>> Previous experience as a Technical Project Manager within a software/hardware development team.
>> Experience with traditional project management tools Microsoft Project.
Salary: Circa £50,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.
We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master (or Project Manager) to join our team. You’ll need at least 2 years of current, relevant experience and ideally be qualified or actively working towards Scrum Master certification.
This is a predominantly office-based role at our Main UK Office inUpper Beeding , and being on-site is non-negotiable . While we do offer flexible working policies, this role requires close, in-person collaboration with the wider team.
