Cleaner (Part-Time) Wakefield, Ossett, Crossgates, Castleford & Pontefract

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all spaces are welcoming and well‑presented. It is a 12‑hour weekly job. Should do any day of the week either early mornings or evenings. The ideally person should be trustworthy.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS FIVE SITES TO BE CLEANED:

• Wakefield WF1 – 1 x 2 hour weekly clean (2 hours per week in total)
• Ossett WF5 – 1 x 2 hour weekly clean (2 hours per week in total)
• Castleford WF11 – 1 x 2 hour weekly clean (2 hours per week in total)
• Crossgates LS15 – 1 x 2 hour weekly clean (2 hours per week in total)
• Pontefract WF8 – 2 x 2 hour weekly clean (4 hours per week in total)

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned, dusted, and sanitised to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff to address any specific cleaning requests or concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Meticulous and hardworking.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
