We are seeking a high-impact Senior Project Manager to lead a strategic transformation programme focused on accelerating a large-scale datacentre exit and establishing a secure, scalable Azure cloud foundation. You will be accountable for delivering measurable business outcomes, including the reduction of legacy infrastructure and the establishment of a modern, cloud-first operating model aligned with SRE principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Datacentre Exit: Lead the structured migration, modernisation, or retirement of services from legacy environments, ensuring full decommissioning with no residual technical debt.
- Cloud Foundation: Deliver a standardised, scalable Azure platform, ensuring consistency across networking, identity, security, and observability.
- Programme Governance: Maintain strict control over budgets, timelines, scope, and risks while reporting to senior stakeholders, including European Board Directors and VPs.
- Operational Transition: Ensure successful handover to BAU teams, embedding the tooling and processes required for long-term sustainability.
- Agile Leadership: Act as a Scrum Master where required, promoting Agile adoption and mentoring team members on Agile principles.
Technical Requirements & Experience:
- Proven Track Record: Extensive experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation and datacentre exit programmes.
- Migration Strategies: Deep knowledge of rehost, replatform, refactor, and retire strategies.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong understanding of Azure platform architecture, landing zone concepts, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
- Very strong stakeholder management skills, as we are looking for a proactive leader who is comfortable "standing their ground" in high-pressure environments.
- Methodology: Expert proficiency in Waterfall (PRINCE2), Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and SAFe.
- SRE Awareness: Understanding of observability, monitoring, and site reliability engineering principles.
- Tools: Proficient in MS Project, Jira, and ServiceNow.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: University degree or equivalent.
- Certifications: APMP, PMP, Prince2, SAFe, or Agile certifications are required.
