We are looking for a Lead IT Application Owner to take strategic and technical ownership of an application for one of our leading customers in the telecom sector. This role is ideal for someone with a deep technical background who thrives on defining architecture standards, ensuring integration consistency, and safeguarding data quality across complex system landscapes.
As a key bridge between architecture, development, DevOps, and business, you will lead with both vision and technical rigor to ensure long-term application stability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and maintain technical and functional standards for the application landscape.
- Ensure robust API contracts that enable consistent and stable integrations with surrounding systems.
- Establish best practices for platform development, delivery, and deployment, working closely with CI/CD and DevOps teams.
- Design and evolve data models that meet both business and technical requirements.
- Define data validation rules, consistency checks, and integrity controls to maintain technical data quality.
- Act as the technical expert for the application and its interfaces with a 360 view of dependencies and integrations.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to guarantee stability and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in the applications lifecycle, performance, and governance.
- Deep technical expertise in application development and system integration.
- Strong knowledge of software lifecycle management, security standards, and patching processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-driven mindset.
- Proven ability to define and enforce technical guidelines and development standards.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration across architecture, operations, and business domains.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a trusted advisor across technical and non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of the Remote Delivery Act (Fernabgabegesetz) or experience working in regulated environments.
This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be based in the UK.
