We are seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join our Dispute Resolution team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution within the UK legal system and be fluent in both English and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a caseload of complex litigation and dispute resolution matters from inception through to trial or settlement.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Liaise directly with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders in both English and Chinese.
- Provide strategic legal advice and representation to corporate and individual clients.
- Work closely with partners and team members on cross-border disputes and multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Develop and maintain a pool of trusted third-party service providers (e.g., barristers and expert witnesses) to ensure efficient and effective case management.
- Facilitate business development initiatives, particularly in fostering relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and entities.
- Contribute to mentoring junior associates and trainees as needed or required.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese.
- Strong understanding of the UK legal system and court procedures.
- Proven ability to manage a varied and demanding caseload independently.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- High degree of professionalism, client care, and commercial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative team environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
