The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
To manage the Paraplanners and the functions they carry out across PCT & Amicus and support the Private Client Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the Paraplanning Team across PCT & Amicus.
- Training and development of the Team to ensure skills are consistent throughout.
- Ensure procedures, skills matrix and training plans are in place for the team and new starts; when gaps are identified, the relevant training has been put in place.
- Standardising and improving processes across the Edinburgh PCT, London PCT and Amicus to ensure consistency and efficiencies across the team and 7IM using Xplan where possible.
- Effective WIP management across PCT & Amicus Paraplanners ensuring deadlines are met and the relevant support is given where required.
- Continually suggesting realistic & appropriate improvements and solutions to problems with the Private Client Operations Manager.
- Conducting half yearly performance reviews & monthly 121’s in line with agreed Balance Business Scorecard and performance metrics.
- Collation and delivery of monthly MI for the co-ordination, control, analysis, and visualisation of information in the team ensuring work across the team is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Participate in any projects and relevant business initiatives that will improve the processes across the team.
- Covering any additional work across team functions when required when there is limited capacity and be the point of escalation for any issues that arise within the team.
- Work closely with those in the support management team to assist with day to day activities and strategic planning participating in projects and business initiatives when required.
- Continually look at ways to enhance operational systems and procedures to maximise efficiencies e.g. Xplan (practice management system).
- Contributing to the growth of the company through management of a high performing team.
- Keep up to date with FCA rules and regulations.
- Complete monthly compliance modules in timely fashion before deadlines.
- Subscribe to 7IMs declared Mission and Tenets, & to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) initiatives.
- Ensure the 7IM VPVPs (Vision, Purpose, Values and Personalities) are followed throughout your working practices.
- Other duties, as reasonably required by the line manager and 7IM.
About You:
Knowledge:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry within a support function.
- Good understanding of Xplan, Pershing and other in-house systems.
- Knowledge of creating and updating processes & procedures.
- Experience in staff management, training, coaching a team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Current or previous experience of leading teams.
- Current or previous experiences as a Paraplanner for HNW clients, preferably in an Independent firm.
- Ambitious, energic & highly motivated, with strong communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
- Client focused, delivering a high standard of client service.
- Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
Other Relevant Information:
- Reports into Private Client Operations Manager.
- Due to the seniority of this position the jobholder will need to demonstrate high levels of personal integrity and honesty.
- The role will require an ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm, requiring high levels of business acumen and emotional intelligence.
