As Head of Platform Product, you will define and execute the product strategy for 7IM's marketâleading Platform. You will drive innovation, deliver outstanding client outcomes, and ensure our platform remains at the forefront of the industry. You will be part of both the Products & Marketing Leadership team and the Platform Business Leadership team, lead crossâfunctional teams, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and represent the platform internally and externally.
Strategic Leadership
- Set and communicate a compelling vision and roadmap for the 7IM Platform, aligned with business objectives and market trends, and obtain agreement from Platform Executive leadership.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a highâperforming team of Product Managers and Owners, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Act as the senior advocate for the Platform Proposition across the business, influencing at executive and board level.
Product & Portfolio Management
- Oversee the endâtoâend product lifecycle, from ideation and design to launch and inâlife management.
- Ensure all product initiatives are valueâled, clientâcentric, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Technology, Experience Design, Transformation, and Data teams to deliver differentiated, scalable solutions.
Client Outcomes & Regulatory Excellence
- Define and monitor KPIs to ensure the platform delivers superior client outcomes and meets regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and address risks, ensuring ongoing compliance and the highest standards of governance.
- Lead the development of business cases for new propositions and enhancements, engaging with Finance and Risk functions throughout.
- Engage and manage thirdâparty agencies as required.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients, advisers, and strategic partners to inform product strategy and drive competitive advantage.
- Represent 7IM at industry forums and with external agencies, championing innovation and best practice.
Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, ensuring 7IM remains a market leader.
About You
- A passion for Platform and putting yourself in the shoes of clients and their advisers.
- Comfortable delegating and inspiring a high standard of work from others.
- Good problemâsolving, presentation, reporting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work within crossâfunctional teams internally and with external suppliers.
- Effective communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, confident operating at all levels.
- Comfortable operating at pace and able to balance multiple priorities where change and uncertainty can be expected.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Platforms, advice process and advisory market in the UK.
- Senior level experience within Product and Proposition teams within a complex and regulated environment.
- Proven history of successful value delivery within a similar industry.
- Understanding of competitors and their propositions.
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Experience of agile working practices and frameworks.
