About The Role
As the Agile Delivery Manager, you are a manager and true leader who serves the Scrum Team and larger organisation. You are accountable for the squad's effectiveness and outcomes in:
- Leading the Squad in Sprint delivery; enabling the achievement of the committed value within each product increment and technically prioritised Sprint backlog.
- Creating the sprint goal and maintaining Sprint backlog.
- Collaborating with the Product Manager/Owner for building and maintaining the Product Roadmap.
- Breaking down the product vision & strategy into tactical execution.
You are responsible for the removal of impediments & blockers, risks and dependencies enabling the Squad to improve their ways of working and increase then maintain their ability to deliver quality outcomes with speed and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Align to the role of Scrum Master according to the Scrum Guide.
- Lead, train and coach the organisation in its Agile adoption.
- Provide leadership to the squad to effectively deliver the Product Roadmap, partnering with the Product Manager/Product Owner, Analysts, Developers, Testers and Lead Engineer.
- Build and maintain the technical and business readiness plans to ensure successful delivery of the Product Roadmap and committed value each quarter and sprint.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager/Product Owner on effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
- Sustain a focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Ensure that BAU change & maintenance is baked into the delivery roadmap.
- Provide or seek clarity with and for the Squad, to ensure that the why, what and how is known by all.
- Work with the squad to check/challenge/encourage their quality & pace throughout the increment & sprint.
- Ensure that Agile events are positive, productive and timeboxed and liaise with Chapter Leads to create experiments to continuously improve ways of working.
- Encourage the Squad's understanding of the 7IM Agile framework and enable them to improve their practices.
- Empower the Squad to self-manage, understand, and use data to support continuous improvement in delivering change and value safely.
- Effectively manage and track impediments, risks, and dependencies, dissolving them where possible.
- Enable close collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders and the team.
- Actively participate, share ideas, and drive improvement in the Agile Delivery Chapter.
- Manage and integrate any 3rd party supplier effectively into the Squad delivery and ways of working.
- While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
- Adhere to all applicable compliance standards and best practices at all times.
- Act consistently in accordance with 7IM VPVPs.
- Other, as reasonably required by your manager and 7IM.
Skills:
- Experience of working on workflow and CRM solution deliveries is desirable.
- Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering mentorship, coaching, and leadership both individually and at Squad levels.
- Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Use of PowerBI / ADO / Jira work management or similar tools to support agile ways of working.
- Experience of collecting and using data to drive team improvement.
- Confident delivering formal and informal training.
- A flexible, resilient facilitator, able to explain the 'why'.
- Able to facilitate sessions to help the team break down complex solutions into smaller, achievable chunks of work.
- Adept at influencing behaviour cross-team and cross-discipline without having formal organisational hierarchy.
- Listens to the team and empowers them to tackle challenges.
Qualifications:
- Recognised Professional Scrum Master qualification desirable.
- Practical experience working with a software engineering team.

This role reports to the Head of Agile Delivery Lead. Must be passionate about Agile principles and enthusiastic to embed them across Transformation and the wider organisation. A continuous improvement attitude and dedication to finding new ways of working.
