The Role – Midweight Social Media Manager
We’re looking for a dynamic, confident and creative Social Media Manager. You’ve gained 3-5 years content or social agency experience, developing original ideas for clients in multiple sectors, bringing social campaigns to market, and managing social media channels and paid campaigns for clients.
Our ideal candidate has a genuine passion for social; being up to speed on emerging trends isn’t part of the job, it’s a behaviour you manifest. Working within a tight-knit team, you’ll have ample opportunity to demonstrate how collaborative, innovative, and multifaceted you are. You’re also looking to flex both your creative and strategic muscles, developing our clients’ social media strategies, the creative ideas that reflect them, and helping execute their campaigns. In return we offer a base salary of £37k-£42k dependent on experience.
The Job
- Analyse and interpret client briefs and transform them into breakthrough social content that engages audiences
- Gather insights on audience behaviours in social and use them to develop clients’ social strategies
- Create original ideas for social platforms including Instagram, X, FB, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn
- Manage the agency’s social media channels, presence and targeting
- Report back on the performance of client campaigns and use a test and learn approach to optimise performance
- Write compelling copy that grabs the audience’s attention and demands engagement
- Be hands on from ideation to scripting to shoot supervision, ensuring content delivers against, and consistently exceeds, clients’ expectations
- Be the agency’s go-to on social trends, platforms and digital culture
- Collaborate closely with colleagues with a broad range of different skills to bring ideas to life
- An excellent presenter, you are confident and articulate whether in-person or online, among colleagues or with clients.
- Line manage your team to bring out their best and help them develop their careers in social
- 3-5 years’ experience in a social or content agency, delivering strategic insights and standout creative across a range of clients in a variety of sectors
- A deep understanding of platforms, audiences, and the fast-moving nature of social content
- Experince in a range of sectors including food, financial services, tech and gambling
- An eye for emerging trends and cultural moments, allied with the ability to turn them into fresh ideas
- The confidence on set to make sure your vision gets captured in camera
- The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced agency environment, hitting tight deadlines without hitting the roof
- Hands on experience with CMS such as Hootsuite and Sprout, plus Meta Ad Manager
- Exceptional copywriting and conceptual abilities, able to deliver big ideas, memorable headlines, and punchy post copy
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with an organised, can-do attitude
- A proven track record of increasing a brand’s social followers and engagement rates.
- Expert knowledge of native video editing tools such as CapCut or Edits. Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
