POSITION SUMMARY

As a Prep Chef, you are responsible for assisting senior chefs with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen while developing culinary skills and knowledge of food safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adheres to 74 Duke standards of food quality, food preparation and following recipes correctly.
  • Minimises waste and maximises quality.
  • Works closely with Chefs to ensure correct preparation and delivery times are kept and food quality is maintained.
  • Assists the kitchen team in checking all deliveries of fresh produce and dry storage items required by the kitchen.
  • Assures proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices are followed in line with current UK Health & safety legislation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintains personal due diligence of hygiene, presentation, communication and progression.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
