An opportunity has arisen to join a leading provider of individual wealth management, asset management and related services to private clients, charities, trustees and professional partners. They have recently gone through a large organisational change and are in the process of transforming their business and technology processes. The organisation prides themselves on their strong culture. While they have grown through acquisition, they still manage to maintain a collaborative and supportive environment and provide a family feel to their employees.

The opportunity is for a Business Design Analyst to join the newly formed business design function, sitting within the specific product area. The key products supported will be focussed on Risk, Finance, HR and CRM/Client-facing systems. The Business Analyst will be required to identify, define, design and deliver incremental change for the business function. The role will be a hybrid role responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and solutions (technical and process), ensuring that systems and processes meet high standards of quality and efficiency.

The Business Analyst will be required to work closely with business functions, documenting business activities, processes and platforms. They will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather and document requirements. They will also be required to write user stories and perform feature writing. They will participate in regular stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative planning sessions. The Business Design Analyst will also be involved in identifying and designing system and platform changes and work with a Business Design specialist on the design and delivery of large-scale technical change activity. There will also be a need to get involved in testing and quality engineering, including executing test cases, reporting defects etc.

You will have a good background as a Business Analyst with a demonstrable detail-oriented, analytical and problem-solving mindset. The ability to influence, engage and collaborate with a diverse range of personalities and across different business areas is important. Experience of working independently and as part of a team and showing excellent collaboration is key. Knowledge of the financial services industry, in particular wealth management, would be highly desirable. Some testing experience is also required.
