Position Overview: Regional Account Manager at Shockwave Medical, located preferably in North London, focusing on the commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) and other cardiovascular devices. The role involves clinical support, territory management, and business development in Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular Surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop expert‑level knowledge of Shockwave IVL portfolio and be recognized by customers as a product expert.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the wider disease area and competing devices used to modify calcium, including atherectomy and imaging.
- Translate clinical data to physician and patient benefit, ensuring appropriate use of Shockwave IVL.
- Facilitate access to new technologies in collaboration with NHS partners.
- Build and execute challenging territory business plans.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Regional Sales Manager via the Quarterly Business Review process.
- Assist in the development of annual forecasts and business goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, medical affairs, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, compliant workplace.
- Provide detailed monthly expense reports.
Qualifications:
- Native or bilingual English proficiency; other European languages a plus.
- Experience in the medical device market, especially in Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, or Vascular Surgery.
- Knowledge of NHS operations and procurement, particularly facilitating access to new technologies.
- Strong commercial track record with a proven problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to spend 90%+ of time within territory; residence on or near the territory preferred.
